"Vivacé has been a wonderful experience for my daughter, and our family. The techniques used to teach music theory to the children through interactive games and age appropriate visual cues, in addition to the careful music selection, are what set Vivacé apart from other children’s chorus programs. The directors maintain a positive and engaging learning environment where the kids can thrive, and the guest presentations add interesting variety. All of this results in beautiful performances that highlight the beauty of the young voice and make us proud to be a Vivacé family!" |

| "Vivace directors have a magical way of teaching without their students realizing all that they have learned. Music theory, an understanding of my voice’s abilities and potential, and performance confidence seem to have slipped into my head through my years of fun with Vivace. Peggy understands and listens for the development of every singer’s voice, and expertly handles the balance between blending voices, and letting each one shine. She knows exactly when to push a little harder with encouragement, and when it’s time for a break. Peggy guides us through difficult and diverse repertoire, leaving everyone feeling accomplished while broadening our abilities and musical tastes. As I’ve grown through the choir, I’ve been offered leadership experiences, such as acting as a section leader and singing solos, which have greatly increased my confidence in my voice. My ear training now allows me to recognize and fix the faults in sound that were once so mysteriously detected by Peggy. Besides my fantastic musical education, I have gained many lasting friendships during my Vivace career. To sing well, you must trust your fellow choristers and listen precisely to one another in order to blend. This as well as the tours and retreats that Vivace offers create tight bonds between singers.
Singing is also a great release for me. I am rejuvenated by singing. Even after a tiring day, there is nothing I would like to do more than go to a Vivace rehearsal. For the past six years, choir night has been my favorite day of the week." |

VIVACE inspires: Artistic excellence, creative focus, community
"When our children first joined Vivace, we were not aware of the depth and breadth of the musical training they would receive. We overheard the transformation of their singing, from halting renditions of difficult pieces of music in the early rehearsals, to mastery at the final performances. Their director, Peggy Spool, approaches her students with discipline, firmness, creativity, and enthusiasm. She holds high expectations for all and appreciates the individuality of each young singer. Vivace contributes even more to each child than exposure to fine music and the expert teaching of vocal techniques. The children also expand their implicit understanding of other cultures as they sing folk tunes from many lands and in other languages. They learn to expect the best from themselves and from each other. Together they create works of beauty, and this feeds their souls. Witnessing their growth as musicians and as individuals feeds ours." |
